Archeage Unchained the game that was once loved by players was abandoned long ago and with valid reasons .
Firstly let me tell you that i love the game.
No other MMORPG has grasped my interest this much before and i refuse to accept that its actually dead.
I played Archeage Unchained when it launched back in 2019 and i still do from time to time.
I can undoubtfully say to you that the game has reached its all time low in terms of population.
I play mostly on EU Nehliya which was one of the fresh start servers and i can tell you that this server is indeed nearly empty.
This doesnt apply to the EVO server in this extend nor to Legacy version of the game.
In fact Legacy population exceeds Unchained and thats a fact. I played on both servers in both versions of the game.
However i am gonna talk about EU Nehliya.
Thats where my characters are the most evolved thus i do not wish to start and progress in other servers, even though i tried ,not gonna lie.
As it stands i am the solo resident in Lilyut Hills along with my other characters.
I built a small village of my own.
This was months ago.
I do trade runs , i see noone along the way.
I may encounter another house somewhere in another zone and it suprises me.
When i see another player i get excited knowing i am not alone in this damned server.
There might be 10-20 more players or so but knowing everyone they may have 3-4 alts each so that leaves us with maybe 5 players in the whole server.
I hardly see anyone in nation chat, theres rarely any of the daily raids.
I see noone doing cargo runs, not even with the cargo ship. I mean who would use the cargo ship when theres almost noone around to challenge you in the seas.
I see noone when i do the weekly quests in WHM and EHM , plus lets point out that there is no more Peace time in those zones. I wonder why.
I may encounter 1-2 afk people outside the Garden door , 1-2 in Marianople but other than that theres absolute silence everywhere.
Its really a shame and sometimes makes me wanna just quit all together.
I havent played Archeage Legacy when it launched , i missed those glorious days!
I missed all those insane raids, the pvp battles, the interactions , the grind.
Instead i played Unchained with every publisher making it worse.
The worst incident that made people quit was the fact the game switched billing model.
A game which once was buy to play, was changed to a subscription model with the latest publisher.
That alone had made the majority of players furious and eventually ,after the free days that were given out have ended , they quit.
I havent launched the game in a month or so but i noticed an 1 Day subscription my webinventory for some reason, maybe a compensation of some sort for messing something up , so i launched the game.
What i described above still holds true.
A shame, a real shame.
